Average Price for MLS Listed Homes Rose in November 2012

Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (December 5, 2011) - There were a total of 450 residential sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) in November, with a total dollar volume of $134,889,762, a decrease of 1.7 percent relative to results in November 2010.
Waterloo Region’s Rental Vacancy Rates Lower in 2011
The Canada Mortgage and Hosing Corporation (CMHC) has released their "Rental Market Report" for Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo and Guelph CMAs. The complete 2011 report can be downloaded (PDF) here.
Some highlights of this rental market documents include:
• The average vacancy rate in Waterloo Region and area (Kitchener CMA) moved lower to 1.7 per cent.

Condominium Sales Remain Strong In K-W
Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (Oct 5th, 2011) - Residential sales to the end of the third quarter of 2011 are behind last year by 2.9 percent. A total of 4,975 homes have sold to date this year through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS®, compared with 5,126 during the same period last year.

August Home Sales in Kitchener-Waterloo Up From Last Year
KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (Sept. 7th, 2011) - There were a total of 507 home sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) system of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) in August. This represents a 7.2 percent increase in residential sales compared to the same month last year. Sales in the month of August included 341 detached homes, 32 semis, 27 townhomes and 100 condominium units.

Since 2004, roundabouts have been an important part of our roadway landscape in Waterloo Region. These circular intersections improve road safety, manage increased traffic demand, and help improve air quality by eliminating unnecessary stops and idling.
The Region's 2011 "Practice makes perfect!" roundabout education campaign includes a series of 4 new instructional television commercials highlighting proper driving habits at roundabouts. MLS Home Sales in K-W Were up in June For a Second Month in a Row
In this recent press release from the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of Realtors (KWAR) it is reported that home sales on the local MLS system are up once again.
K-W HOME SALES UP FOR SECOND MONTH IN A ROW
KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (July 6, 2011) -For the second consecutive month, residential sales increased on a monthly basis compared to last year. This brings the total number of sales recorded through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) during the first half of the year to 3,443, a 5.4% decrease compared to 2010, but in line with the 5 year average.

SOLID HOME SALES ACTIVITY IN FEBRUARY
KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (March 3, 2011) -Sales of residential properties via the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) continued their steady pace in February.
There were a total of 491 residential properties sold last month, a 32.7 percent increased compared to January's results, and a 6.7 percent decrease compared to February of last year.

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (February 3, 2011) -Sales of residential properties by REALTORS® through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) were steady in January.
End Of Third Quarter Puts Home Sales Ahead Of Same Time Last Year
Home sales to the end of the third quarter of 2010 were ahead of last year by 4.5 percent with a total of 5,113 home sales through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) during the first nine months of the year. This was compared to 4,892 during the same period of 2009. According to KWREB, this is the first time since 2007 that sales to the end of the third quarter have increased on a year over year basis. The most popular price range year-to-date has been for homes selling between $225,000 and $250,000, with nearly 15 percent of sales happening in this bracket.

K-W Home Sales Wake From Summer Slumber
Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (Oct 5, 2010) -Home sales to the end of the third quarter of 2010 are ahead of last year by 4.5 percent. There were a total of 5,113 home sales through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) during the first nine months of the year, compared with 4,892 during the same period of 2009.
"This is the first time since 2007 that sales to the end of the third quarter have increased on a year over year basis", says Ted Scharf, President of the KWREB. "It was also our third best September on record. "
Sales last month brought the dollar volume to $1,477,077,951, an increase of 14.1 percent compared to one year ago.
August 2010 KW Home Sales Ease, Up On Year-To-Date Basis
According to this recent press release from the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) the local real estate market remains strong in spite of an easing of the market in the month of August:
HOME SALES EASE IN AUGUST, UP ON YEAR-TO-DATE BASIS
Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (Sept 3, 2010) - Home sales eased in August, but remain stable when you consider the exceptionally strong spring market experienced in Kitchener-Waterloo and area.
There were a total of 475 home sales through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board (KWREB) in August, compared with 586 sales the same month one year ago, a decrease of 18.9 percent.
