The blue icons mark sites currently under construction, the red icons are proposed development sites and the green icons are land cleared/demolition.

Construction has recently begun on the "John M. Harper District Branch Library" at the corner of Fischer Hallman Road and Laurelwood Drive in Waterloo. This new library branch is being built together with a family YMCA.

According to an article in the Waterloo Chronicle newspaper, an 18 unit townhouse development is in the works for the corner of Park and Allen Streets in Uptown Waterloo. This will be across the street from the 144 Park condo apartment building that is also planned for that area.
